Leasing a Horse with ATU
Interested in Leasing? Schedule a “New Client Assessment” with us so we can meet you, see you ride, and best match you with a horse. We will not lease to a person we have never seen ride. And we do not guarantee the availability of a horse to lease.
Those interested in leasing are expected to be independent riders who are capable of riding and tacking up independently. Some special arrangements can be made for students who are independent riders but perhaps are unable to fully tack up/down (for example the rider is physically too short/young to get the saddle on the horse). This is taken on a case-by-case basis and may restrict when a rider can come in to ride.

Half Lease - $400
4 Lessons / 4 Rides per month
(approx 1 each per week)

Training Lease - $480
8 Lessons per month
(Approx 2 per week)
No membership required, great option for minors.
Full Lease-Option A - $720
4 Lessons / 12 Rides per month
(Approx 1 lesson/3 rides ea week)

Full Lease-Option B - $640
8 Lessons / 4 Rides per month
(Approx 2 lesson/1 ride ea week)

Lease packages consist of a mix of Lessons with one of our trainers and independent riding.
No Leases are offered with a no-lesson option. We want to make sure both horse and rider continue to mesh well and that the riding and training are helpful and productive to both parties, regardless of their end goals.
No high-impact training is allowed outside of a lesson setting (jumping, barrels, etc) without the permission of a trainer. Independent rides are primarily intended for relationship building and flatwork.
