Our riders will spend their day learning about all things horse!
We’ll work with the horses both on the ground as well as in the saddle! Campers will learn about all aspects of horse care, grooming, groundwork, feeding, lunging, training, anatomy, the equine industry at large, and of course lots of riding!!
We have a high trainer-to-rider ratio that allows us to focus on the needs and skills of each rider individually whether they are just starting or wanting to continue their training.
Price: *** 1 hour Late Pickup available - fees apply***
Half Day - $160 per day
Full Day - $275 per day
We offer themed camp days to maximize our fun! See some examples below.
Tack-a-palooza - learn about all the types and parts of the tack we use. Learn to tack up a horse in multiple disciplines.
Decorate your horse - we’ll be having fun braiding, sparkling, painting and dressing up our horses for our rides.
Jumpers - this day is for current jumpers AND raw beginners, we’ll take each student where they are in their skills and move them forward. We’ll take beginner jumpers to the next level and we’ll introduce new students to beginner jumper training.
Training Day - We’ll learn about training horses and get to observe how some of the up-and-coming lesson horses and competition horses are trained.
Trail Ride/Obstacles - we’ll spend some time learning trail riding skills. Hills, obstacles, bridges, and much more!
All Things Balance - let’s work on your balance! We’ll do some fun activities both on horseback and on the ground to build our rider’s confidence in their balance. A great day to ride bareback!
Mounted Games - though we spend a little of each camp day playing a mounted game, we are dedicating a day to playing all of them!
Groundwork/Liberty - we’ll spend time learning how to properly lunge our horses and work with them on the ground. We’ll also introduce campers to basic liberty work.
Western Gaming - Let’s have fun learning gaming. Keyholes, poles, barrels and more!
Dressage/Patterns - We’ll learn about the sport of dressage and how it can benefit any rider in their communication with their horse. We’ll try out both English and Western patterns.
Water Fun - Let’s get wet! (Recommend a change of clothes, just in case), after our rides, the campers will get to help bathe their horses!
Anatomy/Care Day - we’ll have at least one guest teacher this day. Either a farrier visit or a vet visit (or both if we can manage it). Students will get to witness a farrier at work and ask questions. If we can get the timing right, they may get to observe a horse having their teeth floated and worked on.
Young Horses/Training - we’ll get to spend some time with the head trainer as she shows how we work on training our newest member (foal due beginning of August), as well as our resident 2-year-old “Finn” and our up-and-coming 4 year old eventing horse “Roman”.
